Amy, blue dots were popular customizing items back in the 20 or 30's - 50's. In some states they used to be illegal, in fact anthing that changes the size or brightness of a tail light probably breaks some laws (Fed and State), but customizer have been and will continue to improve on the factory appearance regardless.
